Program Szanuj Energiê / Save Energy Program
Coordinator of
of the Foundation for Supporting Ecological Initiatives and the Polish
Ecological Club (Poland). The main objective of the project is establishment
of the Energy Advisory Offices Network, so the main point of interest is
DSM, but also policy and environmental consequences of the energy use.
Marek Zaborowski mainly cooperates with Polish NGOs, the National Agency
for Energy Conservation, industry representatives, scientists, local governments
.
He has graduated Krakow's Technical University, Chemical Technology
Faculty, and spent one year at the University of Minnesota (Hubert Humphrey
Fellow), where studied chemistry, environmental economics and strategic
management.
The most current activities are:
-
establishment of the Regional Agency for Energy Conservation (we are looking
for business partners, for interesting programs and of course for additional
financial resources) and
-
some issues connected to European Union Integration eg. energy labeling
Lately Zaborowski was involved in:
-
Public Awareness Campaign (Energy Efficiency)
-
Analysis of environmental consequences of the Thermal Refurbishment Bill
(Polish) implementation,
-
Internet Energy Efficiency Information Exchange
-
Co-edition of the magazine "Energy Money Environment"
-
Preparation of the software for energy projects evaluation
-
Involved in the Polish Efficient Lighting Project
-
Giving lectures for energy auditors
What could be useful for developing countries:
-
we need experience, so I think that there is a great need for exchange
programs, programs for people who could go abroad and touch technologies,
and what is maybe even more important to get experience and change
way of thinking
-
we need demonstration projects and good dissemination of the projects'
results
